CIFAL Saudi Arabia, in partnership with UNITAR and UNESCO, organized a virtual side event titled “Innovating Across the Higher Education Space for a More Inclusive and Sustainable Future for All” as part of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF 2025), held on 23 July 2025.
The event featured the participation of H.E. Eng. Mohammed Al-Ghamdi, Assistant Minister of Education for Planning and Development, H.E. Ambassador Abdulaziz Alwasil, Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations, Dr. Michelle Gyles-McDonnough, UN Assistant Secretary-General and Executive Director of UNITAR, and Prof. Saleh Almezel, President of Majmaah University and Chairman of the Board of CIFAL Saudi Arabia.
The session highlighted the achievements of the LEAP-FAST Certificate Program and its impact in empowering higher education institutions to lead institutional transformation toward achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), emphasizing the importance of international collaboration for a more inclusive and sustainable future in education
