CIFAL Saudi Arabia Center was established in 2022 as a result of the strategic will of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (Unitar) to establish its presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a commitment to achieving continuous development in the Kingdom's developmental capabilities. The center focuses on empowering and developing decision-making capabilities for individuals and institutions in both the public and private sectors, as well as academic bodies and non-governmental organizations, to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
As an integral part of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (Unitar), Cifal Saudi Arabia works to provide specialized training programs and research that align with the Kingdom's commitments to the United Nations' goals. These efforts aim to link the national sustainable development framework with its international counterpart, thereby promoting the exchange of best practices and tools and encouraging fruitful cooperation at all levels.
Cifal Saudi Arabia strives to be a leader in enhancing sustainable development capabilities, both nationally and internationally, by establishing foundations for cooperation and transferring effective knowledge and expertise to achieve a sustainable future for all.

The Cifal Center works to promote a just transition towards a sustainable society and a prosperous economy by building the capacities of all individuals and entities in society, by providing training opportunities and working to provide enablers for the exchange of practices, tools and strategies between different sectors at the local and international levels, to contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030.
